As we prepare Air Ops for circumnavigation, here are some of the products we love and use. BTW – we don’t have any endorsements (at least not yet!) so these are here purely because we love them and highly recommend them.
DJI – Garry’s preferred cameras and drones (he has a bunch!)
Nova Kool – our new refrigeration / freezer systems. They just work! And such a low power draw!
Predict Wind – we don’t leave home without it.
Royer Batteries – heated lithium batteries. These are great batteries, but the best part – Tyrone Royer – he personally answers the phone and helps you fix any little issue you may have. His customer service is outstanding.
SeaWater Pro – we loved these guys so much we bought 2 separate things from them. After alot of research, I had already settled on their watermaker system. So I called, on a Sunday, to leave a question before I forgot. I fully expected to get voicemail. I didn’t. I got Mike. If you have been to their site (which is excellent!), you have seen Mike going over their products. He answered my Sunday call. And has answered ever since, even when I call late from the Pacific time zone to his Eastern time zone location. He is fast, accurate and super helpful. We were so impressed, we also bought their electric heat pump air conditioner / heater system. Which is where I met Howie. He is Mike’s counterpart on the SeaAir side and provides similar (excellent) service.
Victron Energy – our new electric control system. The heart and brains. This world class system is sometimes a bit tricky to get programmed, but it is truly world class. After Air Ops, we designed and installed an off-grid cabin system for a good friend. They also love it.
Wolf Brewing – Our good friends for years, who have sailed with us in Mexico. We have shared a number of pints with this great Canadian team who now have a brewery and distillery on Vancouver Island.
