This was a massive project, which is still ongoing. We started with old Lifeline AGM house and Duralast starter batteries. Xantrax inverters and battery monitors. They were good, but well past their prime. After many hours of research, beginning in 2021, I decided to replace everything — and went with a Victron Energy-based system, lithium batteries plus a new Optima starter battery. Much of the wiring got replaced. New solar panels were added. More are planned. The old Apollo diesel 4kW generator was removed.
